Eric Lee Johnson has almost 20 years of stage experience. After acting/directing studies, the native of Washington, D.C. came to Europe for the first time in 1979, where he travelled with the musical production Raisin from Switzerland to Paris. Subsequent roles include Ossie in On The Town (Bern), Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar (Vienna), and Rocky in the Rocky Horror Picture Show (Vienna). IN 1984, he was cast in the Theatre of the West in Berlin where he played in La Cage Aux Folles, Company and Porgy and Bess by Goetz Friedrich. As a director, he worked in the production of Chicago in Augsburg. He has performed in many concerts in Norway, Egypt, Spain and Germany. From 1990 to 1993, he played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar again, as well as Oberon in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Before he joined Miss Saigon in 1994, he was GrowlTiger and Old Deuteronomy in Cats - EuroTour '94.
