Allen Hong

Thuy (1st U.S. National Tour)

Allen Hong is thrilled to be making his professional debut in such a wonderful show - Miss Saigon. Born and raised in Hawaii he started singing and taught himself to play piano at the age of 10 and soon after won several awards for both singing and songwriting at state competitons - that's when he heard the call of the Broadway stage! He's been seen as a crazy priest in Man of La Mancha and a pompous tenor (wait a minute - is this type-casting or what?) in Funny Girl, as well as being featured in two Broadway revues in Hawaii. In his spare time he enjoys singing, collecting antique bed pans and reading up on famous nuns. He hopes to someday fulfill his dream of composing a Broadway musical....and to actually have it staged wouldn't be bad either! He would like to send his love and great thanks to family and friends all over the world and a special thank you to the casting team of Miss Saigon for believing in this country boy from the sticks!
